Chinese New Year 2009

I was feeling damn sick the whole day because all my colleagues are sick. All of us got infected by 2 inconsiderate colleagues who was so freaking sick for the whole week and refused to take MC and come to work instead to spread viruses and bacterias!
I was down with fever, cough, cold, migraine and joint pains. I only decided to leave work after working half day because i was having conjunctivitis and i know that it's infectious (apparently i got that from Nick according to Curt). My left eye ball felt so fiery as if it was gonna burst! Was bed ridden for a couple of hours and feeling much better now (thanks for your concern, haha!).
And since i'm free and have nothing else better to do, i think it's about time to write up my late posts. I have a dozen of them in my drafts! OMG!! Chill la..more to come ok?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Chinese New Year was 2 months back, so i realised that this is a super late post. I can barely remember what i did then..craps!! Here are some pictures and videos that reminds me of what i did..

1 day before Chinese New Year, i bought Yee Sang to 'lou sang' with my colleagues. After all these years of 'lou sang', i have no idea why are we doing it for (yeah! i know!! so much for being a Chinese!!). So i asked my colleagues why is it a custom to 'lou sang', and apparently you need to wish for what you want and you have to say it out loud while 'lou sanging' to have your wishes granted.

So, as i was saying my wishes out loud, all of my colleagues started laughing at me. Partly it's because of my oh-soooooo-damn-fluent Cantonese and also at my wishes. Just to kill your curiosity of wanting to know what i had asked for, I was wishing that i'll be slimmer, grow taller (i need some height so i can be an air stewardess and fly around the world for a few years for free! =P) and also waiting for my Prince Charming to come along, so that i can get married soon! (Don't judge ok! Its always my dream to start a family young and i love being commited. It keeps me striving for better things in life and having something to look forward to everyday).

Yee Sang that i bought from Sakae Sushi

This is the first Lou Sang event for the year in the pantry of my working place. It is said that the higher you 'lou', your wishes would be granted. So far, my wishes have yet to come true..=(

Finished work at 4pm and went home to get ready for the Family Reunion dinner. We went to a restaurant called the Super Tanker (some sort like that if i remember clearly) somewhere in Damansara.

The night appeared to be quite tense for almost everyone of us because of some unwanted event that happened to me and my cousin's life. My uncle who was sitting beside of me, kept asking me why didn't i bring my boyfriend for the dinner (he was totally clueless that he had already went to UK for studies and also he didn't know that we're not together anymore). My parents didn't dare say a word about it as i avoiding the question. In the end, I told him that i'm single now and yet he still didn't understand until my Aunt told him that we have broken up.

I was trying so hard to contain the tears from streaming down my face because i was watching my Aunt and grandmother getting all emotional about what they were discussing. Argh!! So much for having a happy reunion dinner!! (note: all of this happened 2 months back, so i have no problems talking about it, now that i'm over it!)

Since it wasn't a great night and i was too emotionally distracted till i forgot to snap some pictures during the dinner. Damn!

After dinner, me and my cousin and a group of friends decided that we'll have our own reunion at Republic for drinks. My cousin, Eng Soon had introduced us to a couple of drinking games which was totally hilarious!! It's so damn funny watching them play that i could pee in my pants!!(just a saying ok!)

Watch the clip below. This is called the 'Animal Game'. It is so damn retarded especially after down-ing a couple of drinks..

The gang (and a couple more that are not pictured here)

I was off for the first 4 days of CNY (sad right? most people get at least a week off..) and all i did was going for gambling sessions and drinking the whole day. Not very proud of it but i guess that's the only thing to do during the festive season right?

Oh wait, i remember going for movies with Curt and Trevor in Mid Valley too. HAha!! It was damn hilarious!! What happened was when me and Curt was trying to buy our movie tickets and the queue was unbelievably long. I had this really smart idea of using the Easy Access from the phone to reserve the tickets so that we could collect it at the reservation counter instead of getting stuck queing up.

I remembered clearly asking him if i got the date right and he said yeah. In the end, when we were going to theatre, the previous movie have not ended and we were stuck outside for another 1/2 hour after our movie time had started. And we still have no clue to what's going on! After the people from the previous movie left, we went in only to find that there's NOT even a single Chinese is watching the movie with us all. The worse thing was when the movie started, it was an Indian movie..Dang!! And then we realised that we had actually bought the right movie and time but only for the next day!! HahAha!! And obviously we left the theatre immediately!! Was laughing at ourselves for days..how dumb!!

-------------------------------------------------

We went for Ling Xiao's open house and as usual it was the drinking and gambling session. Some other guys were playing PS3 forming a band with vocalist, a drummer and guitarist. And the band was horrendous!! LolZ!!

Damn, how i miss playing Mah-Jong...!!!! Used to play Mah-Jong very frequent for pass time but not anymore. That night was my lucky night because i 'pau' most of the time and also had a 'tin wu'. *ngeks*

Me trying to teach Eli how to play Mah-Jong...

------------------------------------------------------------

Jennifer had an open house as well. Damn..her house is at Sungai Buloh! Super far..but it was all worth it because we were having heaps of fun!

She took us for a tour around her house (it was darn huge la!).

She had even catered food for all the guests with numerous amount of variety of food!! Yumm..The best part was the unlimited of alcohol that she have that got all us tipsy..

*Curt*Nick*Trevor*Me*Jen*

Beautiful fireworks display that lasted a couple of minutes at her house. It was just right above my head!!

We started drinking since 9pm until 5am! Started light with beer and after that Curt practically had a whole bottle of whisky by himself while me, Jen, Trevor and Nick was indulging our wine. We finished 6 bottles of wine by the end of the night. Shocking!

And this is what happened to Trevor in the end. He was sleeping with his head up on the air and was so drunk that he couldn't drive home and that gives Nick the advantage to drive his car (my dream car, Fairlady) back. Nick said that we should get him drunk more often so that he can drive his car again..heheee...

Classic picture of Trevor!!

---------------------------------------------------------

Had a private reunion dinner with my Chi Muis at Duck King, Jaya One (or was it King Duck?). We're usually loud when we're together. Talk cock, sing song as usual..

*Me*Pui Geet*Mun Yee*Tiffany*

A special desert bowl made of ice..how cute!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Had another 'lou sang' session at Nick's diner. Bought the Yee Sang and they didn't give us any chopsticks.

Preparing the Yee Sang..

And since Nick's diner serves Italian, we obviously didn't expect him to have any chopsticks right?? So we had no choice but to use the fork to 'lou sang' instead. Talking about East meets West! It was the first time in my life that i had to use the fork to 'lou sang'...haha!!

*Me*Trevor*Curt*Jen* Weird hor?!?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I totally lost track on how many times i 'Lou Sanged' this year. But every 'Lou Sang' event, i remember that i've always wished for the same thing. Slimmer, Taller and a Prince Charming..none of it is granted yet...=( (I know growing taller is impossible ler! I realized that i stopped growing since i was 15 or 16 ler ok!)

I go to the gym to lose weight, but i have gained what i've lost after Bangkok. =( have to start working hard again...

And as for my Prince Charming, i'm still waiting for him to sweep me off my feet. I'm mostly in my fairytale dreamland these days because i've been listening too much to Taylor Swift's song. Mun Yee and Eli had been with me when i cried to her song and they were getting frustrated after listening to the same song throughout the whole day...haha!! Sorry babes for being such a pain in the ass that day..!!

Oh YEah!!! This year's CNY was particularly more fun because it's the FIRST CNY that i won some money from gambling....=))) hahaha!!

After a long winded post and still reading, you deserve this!! Enjoy!
